    • Account Coordinator

      Rubenstein seeks an Account Coordinator to provide public relations support for account executives and account teams across the firm.

      The Account Coordinator will assist with media research and outreach, presentations, and project coordination; build media lists and databases; and compile client reports. Additionally, the Account Coordinator will respond to basic client and media requests. This role may also have writing, proofreading and pitching responsibilities.

      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Field inquiries from the media, coordinate projects, and develop briefing materials
      • Assist in writing, editing and proofreading communication materials (i.e., press releases, media advisories, and client correspondence)

    • Account Executive, Real Estate Sector

      Rubenstein is seeking an Account Executive, Real Estate, to execute public relations strategies and handle direct client contact and day-to-day activities primarily for high profile residential and commercial real estate properties for local NYC, national and international clients.

      A background in PR for real estate clientele is required. Experience in relevant PR areas, such as real estate tech applications, land use, architecture, economic development, mortgage finance, design, luxury/lifestyle, travel and/or business-to-business, will be helpful.     • Digital Designer

      Rubenstein is seeking an innovative, creative, and solutions-oriented Digital Designer to be a key player in our multi-disciplinary Digital team, designing high-fidelity compositions for complex digital solutions to meet the increasing demands of our clients. This person will be expected to work with agency staff, clients, and vendor partners to design and develop responsive digital assets, with placements ranging from display ads, to socially shareable graphics, to fully-realized web sites.

      Expertise of basic web development is required, and experience with animation, video, illustration, and/or photography is a plus. All candidates must possess a portfolio demonstrating strong mobile and desktop design work, including a solid understanding of layout, typography, and storytelling techniques, as well as a smart UX sensibility. A background in print or packaging design is not a deterrent for consideration, but some digital work must be present in a candidate’s portfolio. Candidates will be expected to be quick learners with creative ideas and have the proven ability to work collaboratively.

      The Digital Designer will primarily be responsible for supporting the overall digital design and production needs of our clients, new business activities and in-house marketing efforts. At times, the Designer will be asked to support non-digital efforts, so an openness to challenges and learning is a must.

      This role requires extensive inter-department communication and the ability to effectively communicate across teams. You will help to educate colleagues as well as clients on best practices, technical feasibility, and digital opportunities.

      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Work across a wide range of the agency’s clients to convey interactive story ideas and complex interactions with wireframes and prototypes
      • Produce, optimize and output final web-ready digital artwork
      • Design for a variety of web related projects: microsites, landing pages, motion graphics, infographics, animated gifs, data-visualizations, emails, display ads, etc.
      • Develop the front-end of websites on the WordPress platform, using HTML and CSS to leave your creative mark on established themes and plugins

    • Director of Communications Theory

      Rubenstein seeks a Director of Communications Theory to spearhead an internal think tank and thought leadership program at the firm.

      The Director will be responsible for conducting interdisciplinary research focused on the rapidly changing landscape of media, technology, and information, and examining its impact on communication. They will identify and tackle critical questions about how people learn, how information processing has changed in the digital age, and the influence of traditional news, social platforms, and community.

      In this role, the Director of Communications Theory will present regularly to the firm’s leadership, lead discussion groups and workshops with staff as part of a larger education program, and develop thought leadership materials (whitepapers, reports, etc.).  Reporting to the Senior Vice President/Director of Product & Marketing, they will also work closely with the brand strategy and business development teams to inform strategies for our business and client services.

      This position is a unique opportunity for the right person looking to transition from an academic, journalism or not-for-profit setting into a corporate role. This is a new role; the Director will work with Rubenstein leadership to develop and shape the research program.

    • Executive Assistant

      Rubenstein is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide support for senior executives across several of the firm’s divisions.

    • Vice President, Entertainment

      Rubenstein is seeking a Vice President, Entertainment to provide strategic counsel and media relations for a variety of clients in the entertainment space, focusing on entertainment properties as well as corporate communications, specifically for television, film, web series and lifestyle.

      The VP, Entertainment will be a strategist and creative thinker with a background in television and film publicity, and experience in corporate and crisis communications for entertainment entities. Experience leading campaigns for original series, movies – theatrical and documentary, television specials, and/or premium cable, across traditional and digital channels, is preferred.

      Rubenstein’s clientele includes; global corporations, media and entertainment companies, financial services organizations, educational and cultural institutions, law firms, health care providers, not-for-profit organizations, real estate concerns, business executives and public figures.

      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Craft and implement strategic, publicity-oriented media plans, communications programs, content, and event publicity; lead campaigns for film and TV titles
      • Lead corporate communications for clients involving media relations, strategic positioning and planning, message development, special events and influencer engagement
      • Run festival and specialized-audience campaigns for film, television and/or web-series and digital content
      • Maintain client health and account growth by serving as counselor and strategist for clients
      • Cultivate, establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of national, local and trade media
      • Write creative and effective press materials, campaign plans and communication materials
      • Design and execute long-range communications strategies that raise the profile of the client and its executives with national publications; secure executive placement on prestigious industry panels and seminars
      • Draft messaging and talking points for senior management presentations and talent appearances, including preparing executives and talent for press interviews
      • Oversee creation of owned and earned content
      • Plan and execute red carpet events and junkets for premieres, awards and other programming specials
      • Provide guidance to team members on effective pitching, account workflow and general account management
      • Participate in new business development initiatives

      KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

      • Strong relationships with media outlets on local and national level; proven record in delivering PR results across print, online and broadcast
      • Excellent writing and presentation skills with a proven ability to communicate with a diverse group of people and audiences; agility and versatility to stretch across client sectors; ability to effectively present work to colleagues and clients at all levels
      • Demonstrated proficiency and affinity for social media / digital tools and platforms, and the eagerness to learn and stay current in the digital space
      • Strong understanding of primary and secondary audiences

    • Vice President, Legal Sector

      Rubenstein is seeking a highly motivated Vice President to join our well established and recognized law firm practice group.

      The VP will craft and implement public relations strategies and programs for clients in the legal and B2B space. The VP will lead media relations efforts and secure media opportunities for clients, while continuously cultivating effective relationships with legal, business, and trade media.

      Clients include: law firms, practice areas (litigation, white collar, finance, M&A, real estate, bankruptcy, trade, employment, technology, IP, etc.), individual partners, law schools, and related professional service businesses.

      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Craft and implement public relations strategies and programs for clients in the legal and B2B space; convey clients’ messages through a full range of earned and owned media
      • Write creative and effective press materials, campaign plans and communication materials, as well as award submissions, articles and partner communications; create digital media strategies and develop content
      • Lead media relations efforts and secure media opportunities for clients; pitch to media and generate client coverage across traditional and digital outlets on local and national levels; engage in both proactive and reactive media relations management, including breaking news opportunities and trend stories
      • Continuously cultivate effective relationships with legal, business, and trade media
      • Publicize legal cases, law firm hires, successes and pro bono work; position partners as industry experts to generate thought leadership opportunities and enhance brand visibility
      • Engage with clients on a regular basis, including law firm marketing staff and marketing attorneys
      • Contribute to the development and research of strategic communications plans and messaging for clients
      • Motivate junior team members by reviewing work and providing prompt and constructive feedback
      • Conduct interview prep and media training (as needed) for spokespeople in advance of interviews
      • Participate in the new business process; sell ideas to prospects, clients and internal stakeholders; manage, retain, and organically grow clients

      EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

      • 8+ years prior work experience (i.e., public relations, law, journalism, marketing, or corporate communications)
      • PR agency experience, in-house law firm experience and/or or legal journalism preferred
      • Developed industry expertise in the legal space is required with the versatility to work across multiple sectors
      • Bachelors degree required – preferred focus in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related field
