In 2024, Tishman Speyer, a global real estate developer, investor, and owner completed the multi-year redevelopment of New York City’s iconic Rockefeller Center. The campus-wide reimagination touched commercial real estate, culture, tourism, and civic issues, maintaining and growing Rockefeller Center’s status as the most dynamic destination to work, dine, shop, and play in New York City. To cap off the redevelopment process and position Rockefeller Center for a record refinancing, Rubenstein Communications wove multiple elements of the effort into a prominent feature in The Wall Street Journal. A few weeks later, Tishman Speyer completed the $3.5B refinancing of Rockefeller Center, the largest issuance ever for a single office asset. This was a critical culmination of the redevelopment story as well as its positioning and publicity. The deal was widely heralded in the media as a positive benchmark for the entire New York City office market.
